Whether you're nursing a broken heart or romancing a sweetie or three, LGCSF's upcoming Valentine's-ish show has something for everyone. Pull out your neon sweatbands, tight roll your jeans, and buy a can of aerosol hairspray as the Lesbian/Gay Chorus of San Francisco celebrates the awesomeness of the 1980s in their ninth annual cabaret and musical extravaganza, “Love Bites – and so did the 80s” at 8 pm, Friday and Saturday, February 10th and 11th, 2012 at the Mission Cultural Center, San Francisco.

Bitter love songs, rock ballads, and choral medleys capture the musical contributions of Jon Bon Jovi, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Cindy Lauper and many other great artists of the age. Not to mention LGCSF's take on Thriller and other Michael Jackson favorites, in collaboration with long-time LGCSF friend Michael Mohammed.

The Lesbian/Gay Chorus of San Francisco is also excited to welcome guest emcee Countess Katya Smirnoff-Skyy, voted “Best Drag Act” in 2008 by the San Francisco Bay Guardian. In addition to solos, small ensembles, and chorus numbers, “Love Bites – and so did the 80s” includes a look back at television theme songs, featuring original videos by LGCSF.
