All are welcome to audition for LGCSF. The Lesbian/Gay Chorus of San Francisco is always looking for talented, dedicated performers to become part of our wonderfully quirky family. If you are looking for a diverse community with whom you can share your creativity and vocal ability, LGCSF might be right for you. Auditions are held at First Congregational Church of San Francisco, 1300 Polk St., San Francisco.
When do we rehearse?
Rehearsals are held most Thursdays from 7-9:30pm(ish). Members are expected to attend all rehearsals whenever possible. Several additional rehearsals are usually scheduled each concert period including sectionals, retreats, and dress rehearsals. (We take a hiatus for the summer.)
Do I need to bring anything to my first visit?
A willing attitude, a sense of fun, and your voice! A pencil is also recommended.
Does it cost anything to join?
We are a member supported organization. To keep the Chorus running, members pay dues per concert semester (Spring/Fall). Dues are $280 (with no committee service) or $180 (with committee service) per semester. Our committees are: membership, pr/marketing, production and fundraising. If you have difficulty meeting these costs, scholarships and work trade arrangements are available.
But what if I don’t identify as lesbian or gay?
No problem! All are welcome to be part of our community.
I want to know more!

THANKS TO ALL OF OUR VOLUNTEERS!
We would like to thank all of our countless volunteers who have helped us succeed over the years. We appreciate the huge amount of work contributed by each and every one of you. Your efforts do not go unnoticed. We in the chorus could not do all that we do without your valuable contribution of time and energy. Thank you!
BECOME A VOLUNTEER:
LGCSF’s singers can’t share their music with the community just by rehearsing and walking on stage. Bringing productions to life requires a myriad of activities ranging from marketing to props to costumes to ticket sales to ushering and everything in between. Whether you’re strictly the sing-in-the-shower type, or you just don’t have time to commit to weekly rehearsals, you can still become an important part of LGCSF’s family by volunteering your time and talent.
