FAQs
When do we rehearse?
Rehearsals are held most Thursdays from 7-9:00pm(ish). Members are expected to attend all rehearsals whenever possible. Several additional rehearsals are usually scheduled each concert period including sectionals, retreats, and dress rehearsals. (We take a hiatus for the summer.)
Where is rehearsal held?
Rehearsals are held in a modern, accessible building in the heart of the city.
Do I need to bring anything to my first visit?
A willing attitude, a sense of fun, and your voice! A pencil is also recommended.
Does it cost anything to join?
We are a member supported organization. To keep the Chorus running, members pay $180 in dues per concert semester (Spring/Fall), which includes a $30 music fee. If you have difficulty meeting these costs, scholarships and work trade arrangements are available.
In addition to dues, all members are expected to contribute service to the organization. Current opportunities including serving at a beverage booth or setting up and breaking down for a concert.
But what if I don’t identify as lesbian, gay, or queer?
No problem! All are welcome to be part of our community.
I want to know more!
Great! You can contact us at manager@qcsf.org for more information.
